blind mice recovered

Researchers made new photoreceptors with the help of stem cells. and planted them into the retinas of blind mice. The new cells developed normally and formed nerve connections with the brain. The technique still needs to undergo human trials, but the researchers believe that in the near future it could be used to restore the sight of people with macular degeneration.
